Knox Community Hospital (KCH) is looking for a Pediatrician to join our comprehensive team. KCH is located in beautiful rural Mount Vernon, Ohio. Our facility houses both the pediatric clinic and Birthing Center in the same building. The Birthing Center was built in 2020 and hosts state of the art fetal monitoring equipment. Both the clinic and Birthing Center are staffed with a qualified team to provide quality care to patients.
Schedule
- 4 clinic days/week
- Call rotation with PRN locum support for vacations and extended leave
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope pediatric clinic care including well-child care, physicals, diagnosis and treatment of pediatric illnesses, pediatric ADHD assessment and treatment
- Provide call coverage to our Birthing Center to treat newborns upon delivery
- Adhere to hospital standards and participate in required annual education related to specialty certifications and standards
- Contribute to community health initiatives and patient safety efforts
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology to deliver high-quality care
- Supported by a comprehensive care team including LSWs, lactation specialists, educators, and other clinical experts
On-Call Expectations
- Provide pediatric coverage for laboring patients in the Birthing Center
- Shared Telemedicine coverage with colleagues
