We are seeking a dependable, motivated Service Plumber to join our growing team. The Service Plumber is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining residential and commercial plumbing systems while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a skilled troubleshooter who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally with customers, and works safely and efficiently in the field.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Install, repair, and replace water, drain, waste, and vent piping.
- Install and service plumbing fixtures, faucets, toilets, sinks, disposals, water heaters, pressure regulators, shut-off valves, and other plumbing components.
- Perform leak detection, drain repairs, water line repairs, and fixture replacements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plumbing drawings, and manufacturer specifications.
- Use plumbing diagnostic equipment and testing tools to identify system issues.
- Provide customers with clear explanations of plumbing issues and recommended solutions.
- Complete accurate job documentation, including notes, photos, material usage, and recommendations using company software.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked company vehicle.
- Follow all applicable plumbing codes, company standards, and safety procedures.
- Work independently while collaborating with office staff and field personnel as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service when assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of residential plumbing service experience.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of residential plumbing systems, installation methods, and repair procedures.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, drain cleaning equipment, and plumbing diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret plumbing diagrams and manufacturer installation instructions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple service calls.
- Valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work, including kneeling, climbing ladders, crawling, digging, and working in confined spaces.
Preferred
- Arizona residential plumbing service experience.
- Experience with water heaters, tankless water heaters, gas piping, and water service repairs.
- Manufacturer certifications (Rinnai, Navien, Rheem, Bradford White, A. O. Smith, etc.).
- Backflow Assembly Tester Certification.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Trench Safety / Excavation Competent Person training.
- Confined Space Entry training.
- Commercial plumbing service experience.
