School Overview
Saint Francis School is a Pre-School through Twelfth Grade non-profit and non-sectarian school, serving children in Carolina and surrounding communities.
Our team is made up of a highly collaborative group of teachers and staff who share the same passion for education. The school commences its blended learning environment teaching structure the next school year. We have high expectations for academics and discipline, and simultaneously value the concept joy in the classroom, making learning fun for our scholars and teachers.
Position Summary
The teacher's primary duties include:
- Participating in a collaborative curriculum development process to achieve the smooth and successful transition towards a blended learning educational environment. Implementing curricula and activities to meet academic standards Designing and implementing assessments that measure progress towards meeting or surpassing academic standards Using assessment data to improve curricula and inform instructional practices Reinforcing school’s policies and procedures in and outside the classrooms. Being accountable for students' mastery of the academic standards Produce weekly lesson plans Communicating frequently with parents, students, and administration. Participating actively in grade-level or faculty meetings on a regular basis to help each other improve as teachers. Participating in professional development programs. Arriving at school by 7:30 a.m. and remaining on campus until 3:15 p.m. On Intermittent Fridays, teachers are required to remain on campus until 4:00pm, for professional related duties. Participating in extracurricular activities, as stated by the Principal.

Valid Puerto Rico Subject related Teaching Certification Highly Qualified Teacher based on the PR Department of Education standards Commitment to continuous professional development Recent teaching experience is highly preferred
