Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly attitude.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety.
- Process cash and card transactions smoothly, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of all sales.
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, adhering to food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with fine dining exposure.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; OpenTable experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive demeanor.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively during busy hours.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and handling cash confidently.
- Food handling certification and understanding of sanitation standards required for safe food industry practices.
