The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for managing the receipt of materials, components, and equipment used in the production of solar modules. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the overall logistics process. The Receiving Clerk will collaborate closely with production, quality control, and procurement teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the receiving process for incoming materials, components, and shipments, ensuring accurate quantities and specifications.

Inspect goods for damage or defects, document any discrepancies, and notify the appropriate departments.

Verify that all necessary paperwork (e.g., packing lists, purchase orders, shipping documents) is present and accurate.

Ensure all received goods are properly documented in the ERP or inventory management system.

Update inventory records and systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Address and resolve any issues related to damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments.

Investigate discrepancies, work with suppliers and carriers to resolve issues, and document resolutions in a timely manner.

Act as the primary point of contact for all receiving-related activities, communicate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and returns for auditing and reporting purposes.

Prepare periodic reports.

Perform physical inventory counts, cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation activities to maintain inventory accuracy and support operational objectives.

Organize and label received goods for easy storage and retrieval in the warehouse.

Maintain proper stock levels, report shortages or overages to procurement and production teams.

Collaborate with production planner and quality control team to prioritize and expedite shipments as needed.

Perform inventory organization, material identification, stock rotation, location management, and warehouse housekeeping activities as required.

Maintain an organized and clean receiving area, ensuring compliance with safety and company standards.

Adhere to safety protocols in handling solar modules, particularly when packaging and preparing them for shipment.

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in a receiving or warehouse role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, or similar tools.

Familiarity with solar manufacturing or electronics components is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.

Basic understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse or industrial setting.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
