Position: Hotel Maintenance Technician

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining hotel facilities, with a strong emphasis on PTAC (Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner) units.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for keeping guest rooms, common areas, mechanical systems, and hotel equipment in safe and working condition while providing prompt and professional service to guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on PTAC units, including heating and cooling systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical related issues.
- Clean, service, and replace PTAC components such as filters, coils, motors, thermostats, and capacitors.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests.
- Repair plumbing fixtures, toilets, sinks, drains, and minor water leaks.
- Perform basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, lighting, and breakers.
- Maintain doors, locks, furniture, walls, ceilings, and other hotel fixtures.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Keep mechanical rooms, maintenance areas, and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow all hotel safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and after-hours calls as required.
- Provide courteous and professional service to guests and coworkers.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with PTAC units required or strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance requests.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to lift equipment and perform physical maintenance duties.

Schedule
Flexible availability may be required, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and emergency/on-call coverage depending on hotel needs.
Compensation
Pay:$11 -$14 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
