About the Role
Hi! I'm Jonathan Sorum. I’ve been painting professionally for 12 years, and I’m looking for someone motivated and reliable to join my team as a Painter’s Assistant or Entry-Level Painter. If you're interested in learning a skilled trade, working with your hands, and being part of a team that takes pride in quality work, this could be a great opportunity for you.
No experience or tools required — just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to show up consistently and take direction well.
What I’m Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
- Able to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent with communication
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights (this is important!)
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Assist with plastering, caulking, and other finishing work to ensure a clean, professional result
- Maintain tools and equipment; perform minor repairs when necessary
- Follow safety protocols at all times, especially on active job sites
- Help with general renovation tasks like drywall installation, trim work, and light fixture installation
Experience & Skills
- No painting experience required — training provided
- Some familiarity with basic hand and power tools is a plus
- Skills in plastering, stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, or industrial painting are a big bonus
- Experience in remodeling or general maintenance is also helpful
Additional Notes
- No tools needed — we provide everything
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Not a good fit if you have a strong fear of heights
