Title of position: School Superintendent Assistant

Annual Salary: $40,340
Location: Graham County School Superintendent Office

Description of responsibilities:
· Performs a variety of secretarial duties related to departmental operations and school finance, including computerized accounting, reconciling accounts, and answering inquiries regarding services and functions.
· Provides support for all professional activities provided by the School Office.
· Processes payroll and expenses for 9 school districts.
· Maintains all homeschool records per Arizona Revised Statutes.
· Maintains all teacher certification records per Arizona Revised Statutes.
· Serves as a liaison to the Graham County Adult Detention Facility Center’s education program, including requesting education records for incarcerated adults up to the age of 22, conferring with our jail education staff needs, and maintaining confidential files on inmates for qualifying services.
· Preparing and maintaining school district governing board election packets and support to the County School Superintendent during election cycles and vacancy appointments.
· Facilitating the County Spelling Bee.
· Ordering supplies and keeping inventory for the school Office functions, and all grant supplies, which includes professional development and early childhood materials.
· Website liaison to the Webmaster.
· Notary Public.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in a general office setting or an equivalent position. Possession of a valid Arizona driver’s license, with a history of safe driving and the ability to maintain a safe driving record.
