Reports To: Crane Operations Manager
The Crane Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned territory by developing new business and managing existing customer accounts in the crane rental and lifting solutions market. Reporting to the Crane Operations Manager, this individual works independently to identify and pursue prospects, build lasting customer relationships, and deliver tailored lift solutions that meet job site requirements. This is an experienced, fully accountable sales role — the successful candidate is expected to arrive with established industry knowledge and a proven sales track record, requiring minimal ramp-up before managing a full territory and book of business.

SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Crane types, capabilities, and lift solution engineering concepts
- Proficient use of CRM and scheduling software to manage a full pipeline
- Advanced customer relationship management, negotiation, and professional communication
- Established territory management and business development within the West Virginia and Northern Virginia market
ADMINISTRATION
- Job Safety, OSHA, and Company Policies
- Preparing accurate quotes, proposals, and pricing strategies independently
- Organization and time management
Job Duties

- Independently conduct customer visits, job site visits, and business development calls to generate new opportunities.
- Maintain expert knowledge of H&W's crane fleet, equipment capabilities, and service offerings across the West Virginia and Northern Virginia market.
- Maintain and update customer records, leads, and sales activity in the scheduling/CRM software.
- Document sales calls and customer interactions to maintain an accurate account history.
- Keep sales literature, brochures, and pricing sheets organized and current.
- Independently prepare quotes, proposals, and customer correspondence.
- Maintain the monthly look-ahead calendar/schedule used to communicate job status to staff and ownership.
- Respond to and resolve customer service inquiries, escalating only when appropriate.
- Coordinate with dispatch — confirming job details, equipment availability, and scheduling logistics.
- Proactively identify and develop new prospects within the assigned territory using association lists, industry contacts, and self-generated leads.
- Participate in branch/office operations and safety initiatives.
- Apply working knowledge of lift planning and crane selection principles to recommend appropriate equipment and solutions for customer jobs.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals for the territory.
- Perform other sales and account management duties as assigned.
Education and Other Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven outside sales experience in the crane rental, heavy equipment, or lifting solutions industry required; established relationships within the West Virginia and Northern Virginia construction market strongly preferred.
- Commitment to working in a collaborative team environment.
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven.
- Ability to work independently and manage a full territory with minimal oversight.
- Present a positive, professional manner to customers and employees. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to travel locally to job sites and customer offices; occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/scheduling software.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
