About Us + The Role
Bloom Bagels is a small, local bagel shop serving Korean-inspired bagels alongside specialty coffee, matcha, and hojicha. We’re a quick-service cafe with a fast-paced environment and we’re focused on creating a welcoming experience for everyone who stops by.
We’re hiring a Front of House Team Member to support daily service during high-volume shifts. This role is hands-on and fast-paced. You’ll rotate through different stations, stay active on the floor, and work closely with the team to keep service running smoothly.
This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys being part of a team, is comfortable staying busy throughout a shift and is open to learning and adapting as the business grows.
Responsibilities
- Provide warm, efficient customer service in a high-volume environment
- Take and fulfill orders accurately (POS + in-person flow)
- Prepare drinks (coffee, matcha, hojicha) following recipes
- Serve and package bagels for customers
- Support opening and closing routines
- Maintain cleanliness of the front area and equipment
- Restock inventory and assist with basic inventory upkeep
- Communicate clearly with team members and customers
- Work collaboratively with the team to keep service flowing smoothly
Requirements
- Previous experience in quick service food or customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude
- Comfortable with physically active work (standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions)
- Our operating hours are 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday
- We are looking for team members with 15 to 20 hours of weekly availability, Tuesday - Sunday between 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM, and are open to reviewing individual schedules through the application
Growth Opportunities
As we continue to grow, there may be opportunities for additional hours, including potential evening shifts on weekends and/or extended operational hours.
Compensation
- Starting pay: $16.90/hour + tips with base pay increase following successful completion of probationary period (90 days)
- Tips range from $9 to $13/hour
