Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. The Payroll Coordinator independently performs a full range of high-volume payroll functions. You will efficiently process paychecks, ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, and collaborate seamlessly with Human Resources and department managers.
Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Process paychecks, reimbursements, and manage payroll for multiple shifts and job types (hourly, salaried, per diem).
- Compliance Tracking: Ensure all payroll activities adhere to federal, state, and local requirements, including CA labor laws and W-2 reporting.
- Systems Operation: Utilize PeopleSoft ERP and Automated Time and Attendance systems.
- Internal Support: Work closely with HR and department staff to manage inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
MUST HAVE:
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in employee payroll processing and reimbursements
- Hands-on experience using PeopleSoft ERP in a high-volume environment
- Experience with Automated Time and Attendance Systems (API Healthcare or Kronos highly preferred)
- Hospital or healthcare payroll experience, including processing multiple shifts and job types
- Strong knowledge of Federal Form W-2 Reporting Requirements and California labor laws
Shift Timing: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Weekly schedule: M-F

Pay: $31.00 per hour
