Overview:The Commercialization Manager role is focused on supporting our New Product Development (NPD) process. The position plays a critical role in ensuring projects stay on track from start through to completion and are executed with excellence. The Commercialization Manager represents the Consumer Center of Excellence (CCOE) at the US Phoenix facility, and in conjunction with the CCOE has final decision rights with regards to approval of new product trials at the Phoenix manufacturing facility. The Commercialization Manager is accountable for collaborating with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure effective execution of new product trials and delivering information to the NPD Manager to ensure timely data integrity of master NPD project pipeline schedules.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Validate product profiles to ensure complete specs: recipe steps/packaging/label/commodity Lot #’s/label info/packaging/product data.
· In consultation with operations define new product run scheduling and NPD product run prioritization.
· Coordinate and collaborate with QA and operations to ensure the correct commodities and lot #’s are onsite and available as per defined trial line schedules.
· Execute product trial accountabilities and have final decision-making accountability associated with sampling timing during run (beginning/middle/end based)/product sensory/visual inspection/taste/smell testing/seasoning accuracy verse trial samples.
· Support NPD packaging team by executing fill rate tests and making die line decisions related to packaging alternatives.
· Support NPD regulatory team by executing physical testing of new product opportunities to ensure serving size and product weights align with product NFT claims.
· Partner with Procurement to ensure correct commodity specs and commodity delivery to ensure effective first trial execution.
· Ensure any required customer Certificate of Analysis (C of A) is completed and shipped to customers with all new sku’s.
· Execute all data, information, and reporting requirements associated with assigned new products and new product trials associated with pipeline to ensure Master Project Schedule integrity (status reporting/timing/data set up/artwork/recipes).
· Through collaboration, influence, real time communication, and negotiation with key internal stakeholders (NPD/Operations/Supply Chain/Packaging/Regulatory/Commercial/Quality Assurance/Procurement) deliver and meet the new product pipeline requirements as per master NPD Project schedule.
Experience, Qualifications, and Educational Requirements:
· College diploma/University degree in business, food safety, project management, quality assurance related disciplines.
· 2-3 years demonstrated project management experience managing cross functional teams within a manufacturing environment.
· Proven partnering, influencing, coordination communication skills focused on enabling executional excellence within multidisciplinary internal teams.
· Technical experience associated with understanding new product regulatory and packaging requirements.
· Demonstrated attention to detail ability to independently organize, prioritize, measure, and manage projects and tasks.
· Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments and key business partners.
· Comfortable and confident being a single point of contact where direct manager is geographically dispersed.
· Must have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, across and within local and geographically dispersed teams.
· Passion for following food trends and exploring diverse cultural food recipes.

Work Environment:
· This is an onsite role working within the SunTree manufacturing facility.
· Regularly exposed to allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, sulphites, soya, dairy, egg, gluten and sesame.
·
· Required to work within the Production facility. Production facility may incur extreme temperature variation and other hazards as incurred in the food manufacturing and packaging process.
· May be exposed to loud noise from moving forklifts and production equipment. Requires wearing PPI gear like company provided hairnet/beard net/safety cap, ear plugs while in the production area and warehouse facilities.
· Workspace is in a facility where nuts, fruits and other allergens are present.
