Express Service Writer
Hudiburg Ford in Wellston, OK is growing and we are seeking a customer-focused Express Service Writer to join our service team. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for routine maintenance and quick-service needs.
The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to provide excellent customer service while helping keep our Express Service lane moving efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet Express Service customers promptly and professionally
- Determine customers' routine maintenance and immediate service needs
- Accurately create repair orders and document customer requests
- Review vehicle maintenance needs and recommend appropriate scheduled services
- Provide customers with estimated pricing and completion times
- Coordinate with Express Service technicians to maintain an efficient workflow
- Communicate additional maintenance needs identified during vehicle inspections
- Obtain customer authorization for recommended services when needed
- Keep customers informed of service progress and any changes in estimated completion time
- Review completed services with customers and answer questions
- Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, and repair-order information
- Help ensure vehicles move efficiently through the Express Service process
- Provide a positive customer experience that encourages customers to return to Hudiburg Ford for their future service needs
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of routine automotive maintenance preferred
- Ability to learn dealership service processes and computer systems
- Previous automotive, dealership, retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Schedule
This position works Monday through Saturday with one scheduled day off during the week. The specific weekday off will be determined based on department scheduling needs.
