Position Overview
The HVAC Install Helper supports the lead installer with residential HVAC system installations, change-outs, and related tasks. This role is ideal for someone mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to grow into a full HVAC installer position over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead installers with residential HVAC equipment installations, replacements, and ductwork.
- Load, unload, and stage tools, materials, and equipment for daily jobs.
- Help set equipment, run refrigerant lines, install ductwork, and perform basic wiring under supervision.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and protect customer property.
- Follow all safety policies, company procedures, and installation standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members on job status and needs.
- Assist with truck, tool, and inventory organization and basic maintenance.
Qualifications
- Prior HVAC, construction, or mechanical experience preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the HVAC trade.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs, work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and consistent, on-time attendance.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to follow directions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
