High School Diploma or GED

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required

Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care standards

Minimum of Three (3) years of experience as Certified Medical Assistant required

Prior experience in a fast-paced primary care or multi-specialty setting preferred

Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association

Current National Certification required (e.g., CMA, RMA, or equivalent)

Certification must be current and in good standing

We are seeking an experienced and nationally certified Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced primary care clinic. This role builds upon entry-level responsibilities by incorporating leadership, training, and workflow development duties. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, proactive, and capable of supporting both primary care and specialty providers while helping improve clinic efficiency and patient care processes.

Room patients and prepare for examination

Obtain and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperate, etc.)

Record patient medical histories and update electronic health records (EHR)

Assist providers during examinations and procedures
-
Perform basic clinical tasks such as injections, EKGs, and specimen collections
-
Clean and prepare exam rooms between patients
-
Manage patient workflow to ensure efficiency in a fast-paced environment
-
Schedule appointments and assist with front office duties as needed
-
Work collaboratively with team to manage all staff and provide inboxes to ensure timely responses to patients

Follow all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Train and mentor new or entry-level Medical Assistants

Assist in developing, implementing, and improving clinical workflow and processes
-
Collaborate with providers and leadership to enhance clinic efficiency and patient care

Support specialty providers and adapt to varying clinical workflows across specialties
-
Serve as a resource for clinical best practices and troubleshooting

Perform advanced clinical tasks within scope of practice
Performance Expectations

Medical Assistants are expected to support providers in seeing a minimum of 15 patients per provider per day
-
Maintain accuracy and efficiency while working in a high-volume setting
-
Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and strong communication skills
-
Must participate in staff and educational meetings
-
Act as a liaison between clinic and local/consulting providers offices to foster cooperative relationships and problem solve issues regarding the clinic.
Physical Requirement and Work Environment
Exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly, frequently standing, walking, bending and sitting. Exposure bodily fluids.
