The Education and Program Development Consultant reports to the Director of Medical Education. This role is responsible for coordinating curriculum development efforts, facilitating faculty development initiatives, managing complex educational projects, and contributing to grant proposal development for educational programs. The Consultant works closely with faculty, staff, and leadership to enhance learning experiences and advance the organization’s educational mission.
Essential Job Functions
- Leads the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of curricula in collaboration with faculty, academic leadership, and subject matter experts.
- Conducts comprehensive needs assessments and utilizes qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate curriculum effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Ensures curriculum complies with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, institutional policies, and evidence-based educational practices.
- Designs, develops, and facilitates faculty development programs, workshops, and educational resources that enhance instructional effectiveness.
- Serves as an educational consultant to faculty and leadership on curriculum design, instructional strategies, assessment methodologies, and educational technologies.
- Analyzes educational outcomes and prepares reports, recommendations, and action plans to support continuous quality improvement.
- Coordinates curriculum review processes, timelines, and documentation across multiple educational programs.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to implement innovative teaching strategies and technology-enhanced learning solutions.
- Maintains faculty development records, participation metrics, and program outcomes while evaluating the effectiveness of professional development initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Bachelor’s degree in education, health sciences, public health, project management, or a related field.
- Preferred Graduate Degree Master’s degree in education, medical/health professions education, instructional design, or related discipline.
Experience
- 2 years or more experience in healthcare and/or medical education, a plus.
