Part-Time Cheesemaker — Buck & Bloom
Schedule: Friday–Tuesday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM (30‑minute unpaid lunch) with some flexibility of which days
Starting Pay: $18.50/hour
Location: Buena Vista, CO
Buck & Bloom is growing, and we’re looking for a part-time Cheesemaker to join our lively, hardworking, cheese-loving team. This role is hands-on, physical, and perfect for someone who enjoys craft food production, learning new skills, and being part of a collaborative crew.
What You’ll Do
- Package fresh and aged cheeses with accuracy and care
- Clean and sanitize equipment and creamery spaces
- Work underground in the cheese cave to care for aging wheels
- Assist with the cheesemaking process
- Follow recipes, written instructions, and verbal guidance
- Communicate clearly with team members to keep production running smoothly
- Contribute to a fun, supportive, get-it-done work environment
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to stand and move for most of the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in warm, humid environments
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow recipes and procedures
- Basic math skills
- Good communication and teamwork
- Interest in learning and growing within the craft of cheesemaking
- Bonus: Experience in food production, fermentation, or similar hands-on work
