The Opportunity
This is a pure sales role. Your job is to generate revenue. Reporting directly to the SVP of Retail Media, the Grocery CPG Digital Media Sales Manager is a hunter position with one mandate: close new business and exceed quota every single month. You will own the full sales cycle; from prospecting and pipeline development through negotiation and contract close; targeting CPG brands and agencies with AppCard’s industry-leading retail media and shopper data solutions.

What You Will Own
Revenue Generation & Quota Attainment
Relentlessly prospect, pitch, and close new CPG partner accounts to consistently exceed monthly and quarterly revenue quotas
Own and grow a high-value book of business with a clear focus on net new revenue
Build and execute a strategic sales pipeline targeting high-value CPG brands and agency partners
Lead high-stakes negotiations with C-suite and brand-direct stakeholders to secure long-term media partnerships
Account Expansion & Upsell
Directly manage and optimize client ad spend to maximize campaign ROI and unlock upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Identify whitespace within existing accounts and drive rapid account expansion
Leverage AppCard’s shopper data and analytics to build ROI-driven sales narratives that generate immediate client commitment
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Monitor CPG market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging retail media opportunities to sharpen your sales approach
Identify and exploit competitive gaps to position AppCard as the must-buy retail media solution
Ensure all marketing and event activity is directly tied to pipeline development and revenue conversion
What You Bring
5+ years of proven, quota-crushing sales performance in CPG, grocery retail tech, or digital media
Demonstrated track record of closing multi-million dollar deals and managing significant advertising budgets
Expert-level consultative selling skills with the ability to close at the brand-direct and C-suite level
Deep understanding of CPG organizational structures, media buying, and campaign performance metrics
Strong analytical horsepower; you can turn shopper data into a compelling revenue story for any client
A hunter mentality: you are energized by prospecting, comfortable with rejection, and relentless in pursuit of the close
Excellent communicator across all organizational levels; from field sales reps to the CMO
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where the only thing that matters is results

Location
This role can be based anywhere in the continental United States. Significant travel is expected for trade shows and industry events. Candidates in the New York City area are expected to work on-site at our Financial District office.
