Job Summary
The Sales Support Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales. This person will be the primary point of contact for the sales team, addressing inquiries, resolving issues and facilitating solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the Sales Department (sales managers and sales reps) including but not limited to phone calls, e-mail correspondence, letter writing, PowerPoint presentations, quotations, and special projects. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide updates in quarterly and weekly team meetings.
- Act as the internal contact for the sales reps by providing/creating special sales reports, developing sales tools and materials to be sent out in the field, maintaining communication between reps and main office and directing rep issues to proper departments within the main office.
- Effectively manage all customer issues and requests, acting as the liaison from Customer Service to Sales & Shipping departments. Will act as the point person for facilitating/expediting orders with the Warehouse and providing tracking details.
- Provide sales support to the Sales Department for Key Top Accounts, International Business and Ecommerce customers.
- Manage all aspects of conferences and sales meetings, including sample/literature requests, furniture requests, and any other equipment & services needed for a successful event. Sometimes may be required to travel for larger shows.
- Fulfill sales lead requests from trade shows and conferences and help with post-show catalog mailings.
- Act as the sales lead for customer projects involving product set-up forms, EDI order processing, and customer web site communication.
- Act as Sales lead for CRM program (HubSpot) acting as system administrator and department expert for lead and opportunity generation.
- Manage price lists, MAP Pricing system and special pricing database. May be asked to help with web site and AutoQuotes information.
- Manage internal systems for account maintenance, order placement, modifications and tracking, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Work with other departments with work and project overflow (as time permits)
Knowledge & Skills Required
- College Education preferred, may be offset by related work experience.
- Full-time position based in Franklin Park, IL office.
- 1+ years of experience in an administrative support role desired, not required.
- Proficiency in working online and with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must learn and be proficient in DOMO, AutoQuotes and HubSpot.
- Experience with PIM/DAM/GDSN Systems and/or eCommerce platforms is a plus.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, customer service, analytical skills and multi-tasking skills. Attention to detail is essential.
- Intrinsically motivated and team oriented.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel (5%).
