Summary
As a Personal Care Assistant at Blue Bird HomeCare, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients. Located in the United States, this position involves providing essential support and assistance to individuals in their homes, ensuring they receive the highest level of care tailored to their specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in patients transfers with Hoyer Lift.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance patient well-being.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor patient health.
- Maintain accurate medical records and report any changes in patient condition.
- Support patients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
- Help with meal preparation and dietary needs according to patient preferences.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe living environment.
Requirements
- Experience in Hoyer Lift is a must!
- Experience in home care or a similar caregiving role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with patients and families.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while following established care plans.
