Job Description
The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support to our hospitalists so the clinicians can maximize their time spent on patient care. This position is best suited for individuals with hospital medicine experience, a clinical background, critical thinking skills and a focus on patient satisfaction. This is not a clinical position. The PIC does not provide hands-on care to patients.
High School Diploma required. Associate's degree or higher preferred.
Experience
Experience working within healthcare setting; solid understanding of medical terminology; knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes preferred; ability to stand, walk, and type for long prorated periods of time; must be up to date with all immunizations and COVID-19 vaccinations. Must have good verbal and writing communication skills, computer experience and organizational skills, good interpersonal skills for relating to people on various levels of the organization. Support several physicians on an administrative level; interaction and follow through with patients with the purpose of providing excellent customer service; interaction with local physicians and hospital administration in an effort to grow our program.
