Max Burger, located just over the West Hartford line (steps away from Avon Old Farms Hotel), is seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host with open availability to join our dynamic team in our newest location. If you’re passionate about providing outstanding guest service and enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere in a lively, fast-paced environment, we want to meet you! Training will take place at the Max Burger, West Hartford location and we will officially open our doors in September

Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere
Manage dining room reservations and coordinate seating to ensure smooth service flow
Assist with to-go orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
Provide special services for diners celebrating special occasions
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area
Collaborate with the team to ensure timely seating and delivery of excellent guest experiences
Assist with event coordination and special requests as directed by management
Contribute to the overall positive environment of the restaurant by working well with the team and providing excellent service
Support the team with additional tasks as needed, including assisting with training and guest requests
What We’re Looking For:
Experience:
Prior experience as a Host or in a guest-facing role is preferred
Familiarity with reservation systems such as OpenTable is a plus
Experience working in a high-energy, casual dining environment is a plus
Skills & Qualities:
Strong communication skills with a polished phone manner
Friendly, engaging, and professional personality
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy, fast-paced environment
A positive outlook and team-player attitude
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage guest concerns with professionalism
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment while providing excellent service
