We are looking for an experienced, out-going collections specialist. This position can be part time or full time.
Responsible for collecting monies owed on delinquent medical accounts in an expeditious manner to ensure account resolution. Must maintain a professional and respectful demeanor assisting clients by offering suggestions and information regarding payment arrangements and account disputes. Must possess the ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, patience, flexibility and the confidence to achieve goals. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Provide professional customer service regarding collection issues
- Make collection calls on past due accounts
- Negotiate payment arrangements with customers to bring their account current
- Advise customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Monitor and maintain assigned accounts
- Computer proficiency
- Working knowledge and understanding of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Collection Laws and Fair Credit Reporting Act
