Position Summary:
The Duct Installer is responsible for installing commercial HVAC ductwork and related components in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This position works as part of a field installation crew to complete assigned work safely, accurately, and efficiently while identifying and communicating installation issues to field leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Minimum of one (1) year of experience installing commercial HVAC ductwork or performing closely related sheet metal/HVAC installation work.

Basic experience reading construction drawings, measurements, and installation details.

Experience using hand tools and power tools commonly associated with ductwork installation.

Basic understanding of commercial construction and jobsite safety practices.

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a field installation crew.

Reliable transportation to assigned work locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) or more years of commercial HVAC duct installation experience.

Trade school, apprenticeship, or other HVAC/sheet metal training.

Experience installing a variety of commercial ductwork systems, supports, diffusers, grilles, and related components.

Experience working from commercial HVAC drawings and specifications.

OSHA 10 or other recognized construction safety training.

Experience operating aerial lifts or similar equipment used in commercial duct installation.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, reach, climb, balance, and work in various positions for extended periods.

Ability to frequently use hands and arms to handle, position, assemble, and install materials and operate hand and power tools.

Ability to safely climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and other elevated work platforms.

Ability to frequently perform work at or above shoulder level, including overhead installation activities.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance and heavier materials or equipment with appropriate assistance or mechanical means.

Ability to safely navigate uneven surfaces, active construction areas, confined or limited-access spaces, rooftops, and other areas commonly encountered on commercial construction sites.

Visual and auditory ability sufficient to read construction drawings and measurements, operate tools and equipment, identify hazards, and safely perform assigned work.

Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods and in varying environmental conditions.
