Duties
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on large-scale laundry machinery, including washers, dryers, ironing systems, folders, and conveyors.
- Execute preventative care daily, weekly, and monthly according to manufacturer guidelines and per the policies and procedures of the company.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical (AC/DC) systems.
- Maintain plant infrastructure, including plumbing, steam systems, and basic HVAC.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and control system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Operate field service tools, including scissor lifts and other industrial equipment, safely to access hard-to-reach areas.
- Repair electrical components involving low voltage and high voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and system schematics for effective troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards such as OSHA regulations by maintaining a clean work environment and following proper lockout/tagout procedures.
Highly Desirable
- Proven experience in industrial mechanic work within a manufacturing or industrial laundry facility environment very beneficial.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage systems, high voltage safety practices, and the use of testing tools like ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematic reading, hydraulic systems, and HVAC/R systems.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts safely for equipment access or repairs at elevated heights.
- Demonstrated analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures quickly and accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and operational excellence.
- Industrial electrician experience is highly desirable, along with knowledge of mechanical systems in an industrial setting.
- Strong communication skills for clear documentation and team collaboration.
Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
