Sylvania Community Services (SCS) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our SCS, Woodrow and Marshall Childcare Center.
This position is responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitization of classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is dependable, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Custodial Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization at the Woodrow, Marshall Childcare Center and SCS building including classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas (approximately 25 hours per week).
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces
- Empty trash and recycling containers
- Clean windows, doors, and other high-touch areas as needed
- Restock paper products, soap, and other custodial supplies
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report repair needs
- Identify and report facility or safety concerns
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Assist with room setup and cleanup for programs or events as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
