Position: Tax Manager

At Archford Accounting, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced tax manager to join our team and lead our client relationships. As a tax manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with tax regulations and delivering high-quality tax services to our clients. You will be instrumental in driving forward our commitment to providing excellent tax planning and consulting services.
The Role:
Archford Accounting is seeking a tax manager who will play a critical role in the primary management of client relationships and the formulation and implementation of tax advice. This role involves working closely with wealth advisors and other service professionals to provide excellent planning and consulting services. The tax manager will ensure project deadlines are met, manage the tax team, and oversee client service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Team & Project Management
- Lead and manage the tax team to ensure project deadlines are met and compliant with the latest tax laws
- Delegate work to tax staff and review returns to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Facilitate and manage preparation and review of extensions, tax projections, and quarterly estimated tax payments
- Supervise staff across multiple locations and provide mentoring and professional development
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
- Maintain and manage strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Sign off on all tax returns reviewed for individuals, businesses, and trusts, including but not limited to 1040s, 1120s, 1120S’s, 1065s, 1041s, and 990s
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely fashion or delegate as appropriate
- Build and sustain long-term relationships through proactive and strategic tax planning
Technical Expertise & Planning
- Research, develop, and implement solutions to complex tax issues for individual and business clients
- Coordinate closely with Archford wealth advisors to implement proactive tax planning and integrated tax-saving strategies for clients
- Monitor industry developments and maintain continuing education requirements to ensure up-to-date tax knowledge
Firm Growth & Innovation
- Assist in business development by converting prospective clients and expanding existing relationships
- Contribute to firm-wide process improvements and policy enhancements
- Provide suggestions and solutions to streamline tax workflows and increase operational efficiency
What We're Looking For:
- CPA certification
- Minimum of 8 years of client-facing public accounting experience
- Experience preparing and reviewing business tax returns a plus
- Strong leadership skills and a team-orientation
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong client service orientation, motivated by helping people
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, UltraTax, Salesforce/CRM system, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Outlook is preferred

Salary Range: $88,000 - $132,000 annually
