Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for fire, water, mold, and asbestos-related incidents, demonstrating emergency response readiness at all times
- Perform thorough assessments of damage caused by fire, flooding, or other disasters to determine appropriate restoration strategies
- Execute cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning, debris removal, and surface sanitation using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct fire restoration procedures such as soot removal, odor control, and structural cleaning to restore properties to pre-loss condition
- Carry out flood and water damage restoration activities like water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and mold remediation
- Utilize Xactimate software for accurate damage assessment documentation and work estimates
- Implement respiratory protection protocols and other safety measures during all restoration activities to ensure personal and team safety
- Assist with construction-related tasks when necessary, including minor repairs or demolition under supervision
- Perform asbestos abatement procedures following industry standards and safety regulations when required
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety compliance throughout each project
Skills
- Strong emergency response readiness with the ability to act quickly under pressure
- Proficiency in cleaning techniques specific to fire and water damage scenarios
- Experience in fire restoration, flood restoration, water damage restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement processes
- Familiarity with the use of Xactimate estimating software for damage assessment and reporting
- Skilled in operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on various restoration projects
- Construction experience is a plus for performing minor repairs or structural work during restorations
- Knowledge of respiratory protection equipment and safety protocols essential for hazardous environments
- Ability to perform carpet cleaning and general surface sanitation efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients during high-pressure situations
