Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant to join our reputable growing general dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, team first approach and adherence to infection control protocols. The Registered Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in promoting oral health and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit. Applicant can pick what days and hours they want to work. Dental Assistants must have a New Jersey X-ray License.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to prevent decay and periodontal disease
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories
- Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
- Document treatment procedures accurately.
- Take medical imaging, including X-rays, while maintaining proper infection control protocols
- Ensure aseptic technique is maintained throughout all clinical activities
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before finalizing records
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality and privacy
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review for compliance and billing purposes
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred
- Proficiency with digital x-ray systems
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and medical imaging procedures
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and documentation review processes
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices related to dental care
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality patient service

Pay: $20.00 - $70.00 per hour
