A well-established commercial mechanical contractor in San Diego is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Field Supervisor to support its growing service team. This is a hands-on leadership role combining commercial HVAC service and troubleshooting with technician mentoring, technical support, and quality control.
The ideal candidate is a senior-level commercial HVAC technician who can troubleshoot complex equipment, support technicians in the field, and step in on difficult service calls involving chillers, boilers, cooling towers, VRF systems, controls, and other commercial HVAC equipment.
-Key Responsibilities
Remain hands-on performing commercial HVAC service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to service technicians
Mentor, train, and develop technicians in the field
Assist with complex service calls, callbacks, and difficult equipment issues
Troubleshoot chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, VRF systems, VFDs, and controls
Communicate with customers and help resolve technical or service-related concerns
Coordinate with service management on field needs and technician development
-Requirements
8+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred
Advanced commercial HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
Hands-on experience with chillers and larger commercial HVAC equipment
Experience with boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and hydronic systems
VRF/VRV service and troubleshooting experience preferred
Previous experience mentoring, training, or leading HVAC technicians
EPA 608 certification required
Ability to remain hands-on while serving as a technical leader for the service team
