Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for examination, and keep them comfortable throughout their visit.
- Clinical Support: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures (four-handed dentistry).
- Diagnostics: Take high-quality digital dental X-rays and intraoral photos.
- Sterilization: Sterilize instruments and set up treatment rooms according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Lab Work: Pour and trim diagnostic models, and fabricate temporary crowns.
- Administration: Record patient charting, medical histories, and treatment plans accurately in our dental software.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental office a must.
- Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting practices
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies
- Proficiency with dental equipment such as X-ray machines, sterilizers, digital scanners, and patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Understanding of infection control protocols including aseptic technique and healthcare infection prevention standards
