Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Assist with medications following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control standards
- Document care activities and communicate updates to healthcare teams effectively
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
- Familiarity working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate support and effective communication
- Capable of managing behavior challenges through patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- Valid driver’s license preferred for driving residents or running community errands
- No criminal record.
