TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Gonzales, Louisiana is seeking a hands-on hospitality leader to join our leadership team as an Assistant General Manager / Operations Manager.
TownePlace Suites Gonzales is a Marriott-branded extended stay hotel located between Baton Rouge and New Orleans in one of Louisiana’s fastest growing business and travel corridors.
This position is ideal for an experienced hotel operations professional, Front Office Manager, or Assistant General Manager seeking an opportunity within a growing hotel ownership group. The ideal candidate is operationally hands-on, team-oriented, accountable, and passionate about guest service and hotel operations. You will work directly alongside the General Manager and ownership to support daily operations, maintain Marriott brand standards, develop associates, and help drive guest satisfaction and operational performance.

Responsibilities
- Support daily hotel operations and guest experience
- Assist in leading Front Office and Housekeeping operations
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as scheduled
- Help maintain Marriott brand standards and inspection readiness
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, training, and associate development
- Conduct routine property inspections to ensure cleanliness and operational consistency
- Support team accountability and positive workplace culture
- Help drive guest satisfaction and operational performance metrics
- Maintain strong communication between departments and hotel leadership
Qualifications
- Previous hotel management or operations leadership experience required
- Marriott experience strongly preferred, though strong operational leadership experience from other brands will also be considered.
- Front Office leadership experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong operational leadership mindset and team-oriented approach
