Cranemasters is seeking hardworking, safety-focused individuals to join our team as Railroad Laborers. This role supports critical field operations including rerailing, track maintenance and repair, load adjustment/transfer, and railcar repair.
As part of a 24/7 emergency response team, you’ll play a vital role in restoring and maintaining railroad operations safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies, attend briefings, and wear required PPE
- Perform manual labor (lifting, digging, carrying materials, cutting vegetation)
- Load, move, and stage tools and materials for job sites
- Assist with rigging, winch lines, and equipment setup
- Operate hand, hydraulic, and (if qualified) cutting/welding tools
- Clean and organize worksites, vehicles, and equipment
- Restock supplies and support team operations as needed
Skills/Qualifications
- 1+ year of manual labor experience (construction, farming, utilities, or similar)
- Valid driver’s license with good record
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Commitment to safety standards
- Ability to pass required training (including E-Rail Safe)
- 24/7 availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Work on uneven terrain in all weather conditions
- Stand, walk, bend, and work extended hours as needed
