Intralox is seeking a Machine, Equipment Service & Repair Technician to join the Facilities Management Team at our Twinsburg, Ohio location. This is an advanced-level technical role responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and improving complex extrusion machines, hydraulic systems, process equipment, facility support equipment, and related manufacturing systems. The successful candidate must bring documented technical education, certification, apprenticeship training, or equivalent verified experience, along with the ability to work independently, self-manage daily priorities, and make sound repair decisions with minimal supervision in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex extrusion machines, hydraulic systems, process equipment, facility support equipment, and related systems within a high-precision manufacturing facility.
- Diagnose and repair complex precision electro-mechanical machinery and equipment to the component level, and identify out-of-tolerance equipment and gauges.
- Make appropriate repair decisions independently while following company standards, safety requirements, customer expectations, and equipment manufacturer guidance.
- Analyze failures and implement modifications as a preventive maintenance measure.
- Work with management, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and other organizations to analyze problems and make repairs and improvements.
- Source and order parts, supplies, and services as needed.
- Use computerized maintenance and calibration tracking systems. Develop and implement training material and work instructions.
- Read drawings, schematics, service manuals, or verbal instructions, and operate a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.
- Ensure facility and production equipment is maintained, repairs are completed, and appropriate maintenance documentation is completed and filed.
- Requisition new supplies and equipment, including reviews for new machine tool purchases.
- Be available for on-call telephone support and emergency response as required. Self-manage daily work priorities, complete critical repairs and preventive maintenance activities, communicate status updates, and support operational needs without requiring constant direction.
Requirements:
- Required documented technical education through college-level technical coursework, trade school, apprenticeship completion, industry certification, or equivalent verified technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, Manufacturing Technology, or a related skilled trade.
- Must be a self-managed, high-level technician capable of prioritizing work, diagnosing complex equipment failures, completing repairs with minimal supervision, and making timely technical decisions that support production and facility reliability.
- Advanced experience maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Wiring and rewiring control panels.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions to the component level using schematics, meters, diagnostic tools, and sound technical judgment.
- Install, upgrade, and configure electrical components, control hardware, PLC-related hardware, sensors, actuators, and machine control systems.
- 10 plus years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Testing and calibrating equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of various maintenance operations to execute installation, service, and repairs.
- Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and schedule flexibility to support production, facility maintenance needs, emergency response, and on-call requirements.
- Travel as needed to support global operations or training.
Desired Qualifications:
- General industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair experience with production and facility equipment.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and equipment manuals.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical circuits, motor controls, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, drives, and related machine components.
- Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Working knowledge of machine controls, electrical safety practices, lockout/tagout, and safe troubleshooting methods.
- Ability to support installation, replacement, and adjustment of electrical devices, controls, and related machine wiring.
- Experience completing preventive maintenance inspections on electrical systems, controls, motors, sensors, and production equipment.
