What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative teacher who:
- Holds a valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate mathematics endorsements for assigned coursework and grade levels. EX and EQ endorsements are preferred. EV applicants will also be considered.
- Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a structured, respectful, and engaging learning environment
- Builds positive relationships with students while maintaining high academic and behavioral expectations
- Understands the importance of social-emotional learning and relationship-building as part of student success
- Is committed to the principles of Capturing Kids’ Hearts and fostering a positive classroom culture
- Collaborates effectively with colleagues, including co-teaching and partnering with inclusion and special education teachers to support diverse student needs
- Creates engaging and rigorous lessons that promote critical thinking, problem solving, and real-world application of mathematics
- Uses data and formative assessment practices to guide instruction and support student learning
- Is open to continuous learning, professional growth, and innovation in instructional practices
- Creates engaging, relevant, and rigorous lessons that promote critical thinking
- Brings enthusiasm and passion for the subject that inspires students to pursue careers that involve mathematics beyond high school.
