The Minibar Attendant is responsible for inspecting, stocking, and maintaining in-room minibars while accurately recording guest consumption. This position ensures minibar products are fresh, properly presented, and appropriately inventoried while providing warm, professional service and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Approach all interactions with guests and team members in a friendly, professional, and service-oriented manner.
- Perform opening and closing duties according to established departmental standards.
- Inspect, clean, organize, and restock guest room minibars and designated minibar areas, including related areas as assigned, according to hotel standards.
- Accurately record and report minibar consumption to ensure appropriate charges are posted to guest accounts.
- Ensure minibar products are fresh, properly stocked, and within established expiration dates.
- Remove expired, damaged, or otherwise unsuitable products from inventory.
- Ensure minibar product and pricing information is current and available in each guest room.
- Remove used glassware and replace with clean, polished glassware as needed.
- Stock minibar carts and accurately account for and reconcile products and inventory.
- Maintain minibar carts, storage areas, and work areas in a clean, neat, and orderly condition.
- Perform cashiering and transaction-related functions accurately, as assigned.
- Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and hotel policies regarding alcoholic beverages.
- Ensure guest hallways and service areas remain free of service debris and assist with returning room service trays and service items to the appropriate area.
- Respond to guest requests in a warm, courteous, and professional manner.
- Follow all hotel safety, cleanliness, and minibar product-handling procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous hotel, housekeeping, or related hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to accurately record information.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, provide professional guest service, and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
High school diploma required or equivalent preferred and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
Physical requirements:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
