Bayshire Senior Communities is seeking an experienced Nursing Consultant specializing in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) to join our growing healthcare team. Details about this Job:
- The position will be covering four(4) community locations in both San Diego and Riverside counties
- All future applicants must contain a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
- All future applicants must contain a valid Driver's License
- All future applicants must have a reliable vehicle to travel in and around both San Diego and Riverside counties. Mileage is reimbursed.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical consultation and mentorship to nursing staff and management within SNFs to promote best practices in patient care and regulatory compliance.
- Review medical documentation, patient records, and electronic health records (EHR) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Assist facilities in developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives aimed at elevating care standards and operational efficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of facility practices, including physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology application, to identify areas for improvement.
- Support management with data analysis skills to monitor clinical performance metrics, identify trends, and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations and acute care standards by reviewing policies, procedures, and medical records regularly.
- Facilitate training sessions on medical documentation, electronic health records management, regulatory updates, and best practices in nursing leadership.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within long-term care facilities or hospital settings with a focus on nursing leadership.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA and state-specific laws.
- Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and records management.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze clinical data effectively and implement quality improvement strategies.
- Familiarity with hospital experience or acute care environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for training staff and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments ensuring compliance with long-term care regulations.
