Position Overview
1-800-Packouts of Southeast Tennessee is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Contents Cleaning Technician to assist with cleaning, deodorizing, and restoring customer belongings following fire, water, smoke, or other property damage losses. This role plays an important part in helping customers recover by ensuring their personal contents are handled with care and restored to the highest possible standard.
The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established cleaning procedures while working in a fast-paced environment.
This position reports directly to the Lead Technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, deodorize, and restore customer contents using approved cleaning methods and equipment.
- Sort, inspect, and document contents before and after cleaning.
- Handle fragile, valuable, and sentimental items with care and professionalism.
- Follow company and industry standards for contents cleaning and restoration.
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and storage areas.
- Assist with packing, unpacking, and inventorying contents as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and chemical handling procedures.
- Support packout and pack-back operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in contents cleaning, restoration, housekeeping, or related work preferred (training provided).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional and compassionate communication style.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable working around cleaning agents and restoration equipment.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on job demand.
Compensation
- $17-$22/ hourly
- Full-Time / Part-Time position

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
