Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and personable Nail Technician to join our beauty team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nail care and esthetics, providing exceptional services to clients in a welcoming environment. This role involves performing a variety of nail treatments, offering personalized consultations, and promoting retail products to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty. The Nail Technician will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation and staying current with industry trends and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with attention to detail and hygiene standards
- Provide personalized consultations to recommend nail treatments and color options based on client preferences and skin tones
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, workstations, and treatment areas in compliance with health regulations
- Educate clients on proper nail care routines and aftercare instructions to ensure long-lasting results
- Upsell retail products such as nail polishes, skincare items, and other beauty accessories to enhance client experience
- Stay informed about the latest trends in nail art, color theory, and esthetic techniques such as dermabrasion or eyelash extensions
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication skills and outstanding customer service
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximize client satisfaction and operational flow
Experience
- Proven experience as a Nail Technician or in a similar cosmetology role with a strong portfolio of nail art and treatments
- Certification in Cosmetology or Nail Technology from an accredited program is required
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures, body waxing, hair threading, hair styling, eyelash extensions, and esthetic laser treatments is preferred
- Familiarity with retail sales techniques, retail math, upselling strategies, and product knowledge to promote additional services effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to stay current with industry trends such as hair extensions, barbering techniques, dermabrasion, and other beauty innovations
