We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and organized Surgery Scheduler to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the schedules of our surgeons, coordinating appointments, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, family members, and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate surgery schedules for multiple surgeons, ensuring optimal use of resources and patient satisfaction.

Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals, providing clear and accurate information regarding surgery schedules, changes, and cancellations.

Liaise with insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for surgical procedures.

Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure all necessary preoperative tests, consultations, and paperwork are completed in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.

Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries and concerns, demonstrating empathy and understanding.

Work closely with the surgical team to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in scheduling and patient coordination.
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry.

Excellent phone communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple calls and inquiries in a calm and professional manner.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare scheduling software.

Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations related to patient confidentiality and record keeping.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating respect and cooperation with colleagues and healthcare professionals.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in relation to scheduling and record keeping.

Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
