Concrete Laborer
Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Laborer and play a key role with the Concrete Paving Division of our company. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to contribute to a great team, while gaining valuable experience in concrete construction. The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-focused, and eager to grow their skills in concrete work. This is an exciting position with opportunities for skill development and advancement.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with construction site preparation, including formwork setup, rebar installation, and layout verification in accordance with blueprints and schematics.
· Safely operate power and hand tools, to support concrete placing and finishing operations.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite by properly handling tools, equipment, and materials while following all safety protocols and jobsite regulations.
Qualifications
· Prior experience on construction sites, particularly in concrete pouring, finishing, or related trades, is preferred.
· Mechanical aptitude and experience operating heavy equipment, such as backhoes, forklifts, and skid steers.
· Strong physical stamina with the capability to lift heavy materials, perform physically demanding tasks safely, and have the freedom to work overtime hours, weekends, and nights to complete our work.
· Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in concrete forming, rebar installation, and finishing work.
· Knowledge of construction site safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Additional skills such as welding, carpentry, or equipment operating are a plus but not required.
