Job Summary
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Banquet Breakfast Cook and Banquet Prep Specialist! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling delicious breakfast offerings for large-scale banquet events, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your culinary expertise will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests, supporting smooth and efficient banquet operations. Duties
- Prepare and assemble breakfast dishes for banquet events, including items such as eggs, breakfast meats, baked goods, and fruit displays
- Assist in menu planning and portioning to ensure consistency and quality across all banquet offerings
- Follow food safety protocols, including sanitizing workstations, proper food handling, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Support food production by braising, poaching, grilling, and other cooking techniques necessary for diverse breakfast menus
- Ensure timely setup of buffet stations and replenishment of food items during service periods
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality control to enhance guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal prep and service in a high-volume setting
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation with proficiency in cooking techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling
- Experience working in fine dining or restaurant environments with high-volume production is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation standards within the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous catering or banquet experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential
