POSITION SUMMARY
Provides exceptional administrative support to the Human Resources Department on all personnel
matters, assists with benefit administration and payroll processing, along with providing administrative
support within the Administrative Office.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

2. Establish and maintain accurate and up to date filing and data.

3. Ensure and uphold the confidentiality requirements of all patient records and manage all daily tasks and activities consistent with HIPAA, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as the clinic’s policies and regulations regarding confidentiality and security.
4. Assures that all payments issued are appropriate and documented as ordered and received

5. Develop and ensure effective, positive relationships within and among the GHC staff, as well as with patients, vendors, contractors, and related resources as needed.

PRIMARY TASKS & DUTIES
1. Assists with performing customer service functions by responding to employee requests and questions related to the Human Resources Department.
2. Assists in conducting benefits enrollment for new employees as needed.
3. Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains current records. Along with conducting yearly audits to ensure HR is in compliance.
4. Conducts new hire orientation for all employees which requires at the minimum 10% as needed, depending on the needs of the organization/offices.
5. Submits online background requests as it relates to the pre-employment process.
6. Assists with processing of paperwork associated with new hires and terminations.
7. Serves as backup for processing mail and answering the telephone.
8. Files documents into appropriate employee files and maintain accurate information
9. Prepares new employee files and ensures all employee files are complete and up to date.
10. Run various reports for attendance, compliance, and payroll as needed.
11. Make photocopies, fax documents, and perform other clerical functions.
12. Participates in meetings and training as required.
13. Utilizes computers, adding machines, fax machines, phones, and other related office equipment in the fulfillment of assigned duties.
14. Responsible for keeping various spreadsheets current.
15. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employees and outside vendors
16. Performs other duties, as assigned.
17. Conducts analysis on staffing-related activities to include exit and stay surveys.
18. Must be able to function in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.
19. Be a credentialing assistant as needed. Perform tasks that are assigned via senior credentialing specialist.
20. May assist in recruitment activities for the corporate office. Perform recruitment activities in
compliance with human resources policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
21. Consults with other HR staff and hiring managers regarding employment decisions, including hiring salary.
22. Serves as a consultant in employee relations and performance matters. Leads projects in support of assigned functions. Interacts with all associates, senior leadership, and governmental and private agencies. Provides guidance to HR associates in the field as needed.
23. Leads strategies, process and actions related to and including postings, job boards, social media,
networking, etc.
24. Supports the company's college recruiting efforts by developing relationships with partner universities and participating in recruiting activities to attract students to both intern and regular.
25. May manage college intern program(s). Recommends enhancements as appropriate.
25. Remains current on industry and regulatory activities that could impact HR programs.
26. Leads project related activities in support of staffing, development, engagement, or other HR activities.
27. Ability to meet close deadlines as they arise within the HR department.
28. Help develop and implement strategies related to onboarding and employee engagement activities.
29. Other duties, as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
x High School diploma or equivalent.
x Bachelor's degree or associate degree in related field preferred
x Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
x Must be able to speak read, write and understand English.
x HR Certificate preferred.
Professional
x “Skilled” business office experience.
x Communication, customer service or working with the public, preferably in a medical care
facility.
x General computer competence including Microsoft Office/Outlook.
x Strong-minded employee who can complete tasks and function daily with minimal supervision.
Physical/Environmental
x Ability to interact with computer screen for up to six hours at a time (visual acuity required).
x Must have manual dexterity for use of keyboard.
x Ability to remain stationary for periods of up to four hours.
x Ability to communicate via phone, mail and in person to resolve disputes, solve problems, etc.
x Capacity to function in a sometimes stressful, multi-tasking environment.
x Ability to adapt to changes to processes and procedures with the HR Department to enhance the department as a whole
