Event Operations and Sales Associate

Compensation: $25.00–$31.00 per hour, including average event tips ($150–$200 per event). Travel expenses are covered (flights, hotels, and ground transportation).
About the Role
Glimmish is seeking an Event Operations and Sales Associate to support our event team. This position involves setting up and managing booths, assisting customers, and ensuring smooth operations at conventions and festivals throughout the United States.
The associate will work as part of a small team responsible for booth setup, product sales, and customer engagement. This position requires frequent travel and weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize product displays for conventions and festivals.
- Assist with booth setup and teardown, including loading, unpacking, and packing materials.
- Travel to events nationwide, typically 27 events per year.
- Depart early Thursday mornings, set up upon arrival, work Friday through Sunday, and return home Monday.
- Greet and assist customers with product information and simple demonstrations.
- Perform basic hair styling demonstrations (such as tying hair into buns or ponytails) to show product use.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during events.
- Restock merchandise and manage inventory as needed.
- Support teammates and ensure positive customer experiences.
- Complete event closing procedures and necessary documentation.
Schedule
This role follows a rotating event schedule with frequent travel. Glimmish typically attends about 27 events per year, leaving time off between events. Additional work opportunities may be available for those who wish to travel more often.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including early morning flights and weekends.
- Ability to lift and move boxes or event materials.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to learn or perform simple hair styling demonstrations.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in events, retail, or sales is helpful but not required.
