Job Title: Collaborating Supervising Physician for Tennessee NP and PA (Part-Time)

Location: Skilled Nursing Facilities in Clarksville, TN / Nashville, TN
ARC Medical Rehab provides physical medicine and rehabilitation services to patients in skilled nursing facilities. We are expanding into Tennessee and need a Tennessee-licensed physician to serve as the collaborating physician for our Tennessee nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
This is a collaboration and oversight role, not a rounding position. Our mid-level providers see the patients. You provide the physician collaboration Tennessee requires for both provider types, review a portion of their charts monthly, and are available for consultation.
What you would be responsible for:
- Serving as the named collaborating physician for our Tennessee nurse practitioners and our Tennessee physician assistants.
- Personally reviewing a defined proportion of each provider's charts on a monthly cycle. We will tell you the exact volume before you sign anything. This is a recurring monthly commitment, not an occasional review.
- Helping develop and sign the written collaboration protocol for the physician assistants, which sets the review expectations there.
- Being available to our providers for consultation.
- Exported using Save Emails as PDF by cloudHQ
- Signing a brief monthly attestation that the reviews were completed, which we keep on file.
What we are looking for:
- Active, unencumbered Tennessee medical license (MD or DO).
- Expertise in the same area of medicine as the providers you would collaborate with: physical medicine and rehabilitation, or substantial skilled nursing and post-acute experience.
- Comfortable with a structured, documented oversight relationship. We keep clear records because we are held to them.
- Experience collaborating with or supervising nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

The monthly chart review is a real recurring obligation with a defined volume, across both groups. We would rather you know that before applying than discover it in month two. We will tell you the expected chart volume, and put the expectations in writing, before you sign anything.
