Residential Remodeler — Drywall & Paint Focus
Pelletier Construction Group LLC — Kirkland, WA
About the Role
We're a growing residential remodeling company on the Eastside, and our project load is outpacing our field team. We're hiring a skilled remodeler who can take a room from rough to finished — with drywall and paint as your bread and butter.
This isn't a production drywall or paint crew job. You'll work on occupied-home remodels — kitchens, living spaces, basements, decks — where the finish work is what the client sees every day. If you take pride in flat walls, crisp cut lines, and dust control in a lived-in home, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
- Hang, tape, mud, texture-match, and finish drywall to a Level 4/5 standard on remodel projects
- Prep, prime, and paint interiors — walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and cabinetry-adjacent finish work
- Handle patch and repair work around electrical, plumbing, and HVAC rough-ins — and make it disappear
- Perform basic carpentry as projects require: backing, blocking, trim, doors, and small framing corrections
- Work around and protect mechanical systems — you know what's behind the wall before you cut into it
- Keep occupied job sites clean, protected, and professional; communicate respectfully with homeowners
- Coordinate with the owner/PM and subs on sequencing so finish work lands on schedule
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 3+ years of hands-on residential remodeling experience
- Strong drywall skills — hanging, finishing, and texture matching (this is the core of the job)
- Strong interior painting skills — brush, roll, and prep work to a client-facing standard
- Basic carpentry ability — you can hang a door, run trim, and fix framing surprises
- Working knowledge of residential mechanicals (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) — enough to work safely around them and know when to call the sub
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and your own hand tools
- Able to lift 50+ lbs, work from ladders, and be on your feet all day
Nice to Have:
- Spray finishing experience (airless/HVLP)
- Tile, flooring, or finish carpentry depth
- Experience working in occupied homes with high-end clientele
- Familiarity with construction management software (we run JobTread)
Compensation & Benefits
- [32 - 40per hour, depending on experience]
- W-2 position — not a 1099 arrangement
- Consistent, year-round work on the Eastside — no chasing jobs across the state
- Small company where your work is seen and your input matters
