Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. We are seeking an occupational therapist for PART-TIME, FLEXIBLE, AFTER-SCHOOL HOURS 1-2 DAYS A WEEK.The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pediatric care. This role involves working closely with children, including preschool children, to develop personalized care plans that enhance their ability to perform daily activities and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment goals and home health strategies
- Document patient progress and modify care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments
- Work with individuals with disabilities, autism, and other developmental disorders to promote functional independence
- Conduct evaluations in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, schools, and home health environments
Qualifications
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in pediatrics is preferred
- Knowledge of case management principles and discharge planning processes
- Familiarity with IEPS
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education

Pay: $43.17 - $75.00 per hour
