Full-Time BCBA / Elementary Teacher / Educational Support Specialist
We are seeking an exceptional Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Elementary Teacher, or Educational Support Specialist to join our son’s support team for the upcoming school year.
This is not a traditional ABA position. We are looking for someone who understands both education and child development and can help a bright second-grade student succeed within the classroom environment while building independence, confidence, frustration tolerance, executive functioning, academic engagement, and self-advocacy skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with elementary-aged students in school settings and will be comfortable collaborating with teachers, educational therapists, occupational therapists, parents, and school administrators.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-time support to a second-grade student throughout the school day.
- Help increase classroom participation, work completion, task initiation, organization, and independence.
- Assist with reading, writing, math, Hebrew, and classroom assignments.
- Support the student in following teacher instructions and remain engaged during lessons.
- Help develop frustration tolerance, flexibility, confidence, and self-advocacy skills.
- Work closely with teachers and support providers to ensure consistency across school and home environments.
- Track measurable goals, benchmarks, and progress.
- Provide regular written progress reports and recommendations.
- Identify challenges proactively and implement strategies that help the student remain successful in the classroom.
- Participate in meetings with parents, teachers, therapists, and school personnel.
- Create systems and strategies that gradually reduce the need for adult support and increase independence over time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current BCBA certification required.
- Master’s degree in ABA, Education, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of child development, learning strategies, executive functioning, and classroom support.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Ability to develop measurable goals, benchmarks, intervention plans, and progress reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or former elementary school teacher.
- Special education teaching experience.
- Experience working in private schools or Jewish day schools.
- Ability to teach, support, or reinforce Ivrit (Hebrew) instruction is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Judaic studies curriculum is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with occupational therapists, educational therapists, speech therapists, and school personnel.
- Experience supporting students with attention, executive functioning, learning, or classroom-engagement challenges.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of classroom and/or school-based experience and will understand how to help a student succeed within the classroom environment while building independence, confidence, frustration tolerance, organization, self-advocacy, and academic skills.
We are looking for someone who thinks like an educator first and a BCBA second. The successful candidate will understand that the goal is not simply behavior management, but helping a student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally while becoming increasingly independent over time.
The right candidate will be a strong advocate for the student, an excellent communicator, and someone who can work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and outside providers to help create a clear roadmap for success.

Compensation: $35.00 per hour
Pay: $35,000.00 per hour
