Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, floral design, and outdoor products
- Assist customers in locating merchandise, answering questions, and making product recommendations based on their needs
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented through effective merchandising techniques
- Maintain organized stockrooms and sales floors to facilitate efficient shopping experiences
- Support inventory management through stock counting, labeling, and inventory tracking using retail math principles
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries in multiple languages if applicable and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience or strong interest in retail sales, customer service, or outdoor maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, floral design or gardening is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth transactions
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a valuable asset
- Strong organizational skills to manage stocking, merchandising, and inventory tasks effectively
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting merchandise or assisting customers with heavy items
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for outdoor living products and a proactive attitude toward helping customers
